December 5, 2000 - Acumen Instruments Corporation introduces the new DataBridge SDR-OEM single-board serial data recorder. The SDR-OEM logs RS-232/422/485 data at baud rates up to 230,400 bps. Data is stored on CompactFlash memory cards in a PC-compatible file format. No programming is required.
Designed to replace embedded PC's where reliability, low power consumption, and ease of integration are critical, the SDR-OEM provides a quick, low-cost solution for adding CompactFlash data storage to new and existing products.
If necessary, the SDR-OEM can be configured using terminal software via its configuration port. The user can also download files, display directories, delete or rename files, set date/time, and interact with the connected serial data source via the configuration port. Configuration options include: serial port handshaking/baud rate, periodic or one-time output messages, interval or file size for file closure, and time stamping.
"The SDR-OEM brings the benefits our DataBridge SDR customers enjoy to system designers. It's consistent with the DataBridge theme of leveraging convenient off-the-shelf storage devices without embedded PC's or RTOS solutions," said Gregory E. Dace, President of Acumen Instruments, "I'm proud to add the SDR-OEM to our product line."
