OEM Module Records Serial Data To CompactFlashF O R I M M E D I A T E R E L E A S E December 5, 2000 - Acumen Instruments Corporation introduces the new DataBridge SDR-OEM single-board serial data recorder. The SDR-OEM logs RS-232/422/485 data at baud rates up to 230,400 bps. Data is stored on CompactFlash memory cards in a PC-compatible file format. No programming is required. Designed to replace embedded PC's where reliability, low power consumption, and ease of integration are critical, the SDR-OEM provides a quick, low-cost solution for adding CompactFlash data storage to new and existing products. If necessary, the SDR-OEM can be configured using terminal software via its configuration port. The user can also download files, display directories, delete or rename files, set date/time, and interact with the connected serial data source via the configuration port. Configuration options include: serial port handshaking/baud rate, periodic or one-time output messages, interval or file size for file closure, and time stamping.
