February 2, 2002 - Acumen Instruments Corporation introduces the new DataBridge SDR-CF serial data recorder. The SDR-CF logs RS-232 data at baud rates up to 230,400 bps. Data is stored on CompactFlash memory cards in a PC-compatible file format. No programming is required.
Designed to replace embedded PC's where reliability, low power consumption, and ease of integration are critical, the SDR-CF provides a quick, low-cost solution for logging data from GPS, embedded systems, and other scientific instruments.
If necessary, the SDR-CF can be configured using terminal software via its configuration port. The user can also download files, display directories, delete or rename files, set date/time, and interact with the connected serial data source via the configuration port. Configuration options include: serial port handshaking/baud rate, periodic or one-time output messages, interval or file size for file closure, and time stamping.
The SDR-CF is housed in a rugged aluminum enclosure and operates from a 7-18 VDC power supply. The DataBridge SDR-CF Starter Kit includes AC power supply, power and serial cables, CompactFlash card, card reader, and user's manual.
